“SAN DIEGO — The legal fight over Californians’ right to carry concealed weapons is facing another appeal in federal court, a move that will continue to delay the issuing of gun permits under looser restrictions in the county.

The state Attorney General’s Office and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence on Wednesday said they plan to ask a larger panel of federal appeals court judges to reconsider letting them intervene in the case.

Both the national anti-gun violence group and Attorney General Kamala Harris had asked to officially join the case so they could argue against a February 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals order that found San Diego County’s concealed gun carrying policies were too restrictive and unconstitutional.

They now want a panel of 11 judges to reconsider.”
