Police searching for suspect who stole rifle from “The Gun Range San Diego”.

KEARNY MESA (KUSI) – “San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Eastern Division are asking for help to identify and locate an unknown suspect wanted for grand theft in the Kearny Mesa area.

On October 29, at approximately 6:30 p.m., an unknown male walked into The Gun Range San Diego located at 7853 Balboa Avenue, in San Diego.

The male rented a FNH SCAR 16s semi-automatic rifle from the clerk and proceeded to the range where he shot the rifle for approximately an hour. The male returned to the lobby area and waited for the store to get busy with customers.

The male then left the store with the rifle. He drove away in a grey or silver colored sedan. Investigators determined that the male used a false California identification card to rent the rifle. The rifle is valued at over $ 3,000.”
