Guncraft Training Academy is coming to your area, and no matter your current skill level, we have the class that is perfect for you. Whether you are just starting to build your skill set, or are looking to maximize your performance, our classes will give you a new level of Peace Through Preparation.

Whether you are new to rifles or a seasoned shooter, Defensive Rifle I will provide you with a solid skill set to allow you to safely and confidently employ your rifle. In addition to basic safety skills and administrative manipulations, you’ll learn how to effectively balance speed and accuracy in your shooting, as you engage targets from conversational distances, back to 50 yards. You’ll learn a series of valuable defensive techniques designed to help you prevail in a gunfight. In the classroom, you will learn valuable lessons about appropriate defensive use of a rifle as well as how to limit your exposure to criminal and civil liability. You will also experience the live-fire simulator to test your ability to apply what you have learned in a realistic encounter.
In this course, you will learn:
-Firearms safety and the Four Universal Firearms Safety Rules
-Checking the condition, loading, and unloading the weapon
-Proper grip and standing shooting position
-Three ready positions and presenting the weapon from each
-Presenting the rifle from the sling
-Fundamentals of defensive marksmanship and how to balance speed and accuracy
-How to check your surroundings after the shooting and ensure the fight is over
-Escalation of force
-Primary and alternative shot placement strategies, and when to employ them
-Kneeling and prone positions
-Reloading procedures, and how and when to use them
-Types of malfunctions and how to correct them
-The five levels of competence
-The importance of mental awareness in winning (or avoiding) a lethal encounter
-The advance decisions and preparations necessary when keeping or carrying a defensive firearm
-Dealing with the emotional, physical and legal aftermath of the shooting
-Safe and effective dry practice procedures

By the end of this course, you will have a firm command of your rifle, able to quickly and accurately engage targets anywhere from arms length out to 200 yards. Building upon your foundational skills you learned in Defensive Rifle I, you will learn new applications and refine your abilities to help you reach the next level. Range drills will progressively increase your speed and improve your abilities with weapon manipulation. In-depth lectures will sharpen your mind, the most important weapon in a gunfight, and prepare you for dealing with the stress of a life-threatening encounter. Finally, the Guncraft Standard Rifle Skills Test will help you gauge the progress you’ve made and guide you in further training.

-Review of defensive rifle shooting fundamentals
-Alternative shot placement strategies, and when to employ them
-Dealing with multiple attackers
-Crouching and sitting shooting positions

In additional to basic safety skills and administrative manipulations, you’ll learn how to effectively balance speed and accuracy in your shooting, as you engage targets from conversational distances, back to 25 yards. In the classroom, you will learn valuable lessons about mindset, appropriate defensive use of your weapon, as well as how to limit your exposure to criminal and civil liability. The course culminates in a live-fire scenario, replicating a criminal attack.
In this course, you will learn:
